TICKET TERMS & CONDITIONS /  Meraki Festival /
August 2020 Festival
This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the Tickets (Tickets) listed on our website www.merakifestival.com. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before ordering any Tickets from our site. You should understand that by ordering any of our Tickets, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
By placing an order through our site, you warrant that:
 (a) You are legally capable of entering into binding contracts;
(b) You are at least 18 years old.
You will not be given access to the festival without a valid festival ticket being presented on either a mobile device or printed.
Meraki Festival has the right to refuse entry.
Site Access Times: between the hours of 10:00 – 01:00. You cannot attend later than 22:00 if you have not yet exchanged your ticket for a festival band as you will be refused access.
• We will require proof of age for all festival tickets holders, please come to the festival will ID.
• Our festival has the Challenge 25 policy.
We accept the following forms of ID:
Driving license

A Proof of Age Card with a PASS hologram
Adult Tickets can only be used by persons age 18 or over.
Parents and Legal Guardians must be over the age of 21 to accompany a child at the festival. Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Children trying to access the festival without a parent or guardian will be refused entry.
All children under the age of 16 must camp with their designated guardian or parent.
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians at all times.
Children aged between 12 – 15 must be accompanied by their parents or guardians at all times between the hours of 21:00 – 10:00.
Meraki does not tolerate bad behaviour. We are a family friendly festival and any anti-social behaviour will result in the ticket holder being asked to leave the site and the ticket will not be refunded.
Meraki does not allow the following items on to the site:
– Drugs
– Psychoactive substances
– Weapons
– Chinese lanterns
– Camping gas canisters above 5kg
– Generators
– Portable/chemical toilets in the campsites
– Beanbags
– Glass / glass bottles
– Drones
– Laser equipment or laser pens.
– Soundsytems are not allowed anywhere on the site or on the campsite
Campers are allowed to bring in food to the campsites, but large quantities of food cannot be bought into the festival. We will allow lunch boxes and small snacks.
Attendees may be searched on entering the festival site.
If you are found with drugs or weapons you may be arrested on site.
Campers can bring in a maximum of 1L bottle & 8 cans of alcohol per person.
Please bring cans where possible and avoid plastics, no glass is allowed.
You will not be able to re-enter the festival with alcohol if you have already accessed the site.
Day ticket holders cannot bring food into the event unless you have food allergies.
Day ticket holders cannot bring in any drinks other than a specifically required children’s or dietary drinks. We have water available on site for all guests via taps.
We do not allow any fire within the festival, car parks or campsites.
We do not allow:
– Fireworks
– Lanterns
– BBQ’s
We allow dogs into the festival but they must remain on a lead at all times.
4. Tickets
Meraki Festival ONLY sells tickets through Eventbrite or via telephone sales directly with the company. No other company is registered to sell Meraki tickets. Meraki is a trading name for Team Awesome Events Ltd.
The organiser reserves the right to change the line up without notification prior to the festival. The organiser does not offer refunds for changes of artist line-up, activities, change of location or postponed events.
Meraki Tickets are non-refundable.
If an event is cancelled, ticket holders will be offered a new ticket for a rescheduled event (subject to availability), if the event is not rescheduled, a refund of the face value of the ticket will be refunded.
The promoter reserves the right to alter or vary the programme of an event without being obliged to refund or exchange tickets, we also reserve the right to change the location within a 30 mile radius.
Tickets can be transferred on agreement to a later year on request, but you must contact team@merakifestival.com to notify them of the change.
Meraki festival will run based on all required licenses being grated. Attendees book tickets understanding these conditions of purchase.
Meraki has the right to cancel the event, change the venue, timings and line-up where necessary. If this is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, instructions will be placed on the website.
The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss sustained by the attendee beyond the ticket price, as a result of the cancellation of the event.
5. Events out of our control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by events outside our reasonable control (Force Majeure Event).
A Force Majeure Event includes any act, event, non-happening, omission or accident beyond our reasonable control and includes in particular (without limitation) the following:
(a) Strikes, lock-outs or other industrial action.
(b) Civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war.
(c) Fire, explosion, storm, flood, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic, pandemic, or other natural disaster.
(d) Impossibility of the use of railways, shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport.
(e) Impossibility of the use of public or private telecommunications networks.
(f) The acts, decrees, legislation, regulations or restrictions of any government.
Our performance under any Contract is deemed to be suspended for the period that the Force Majeure Event continues, and we will have an extension of time for performance for the duration of that period. We will use our reasonable endeavours to bring the Force Majeure Event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under the Contract may be performed despite the Force Majeure Event.
If the event is postponed, the new date for the festival will be announced on our website as soon as the Force Majeure Event has come to a close and we deem it is safe to run the event again.
6. Data
We respect your personal data and shall not share your details with third parties.
When purchasing a ticket your personal data will be added to the Meraki database and you will be added to our newsletter list.
We try to ensure that ticket prices do not change. We have the right to run promotions and change ticket pricing where necessary.
Our earlybird ticket pricing end date may fluctuate depending on availability.
Our standard ticket price may fluctuate depending on the volumes sold.
 7. severability
If any of these terms and conditions or any provisions of a Contract are determined by any competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable to any extent, such term, condition or provision will to that extent be severed from the remaining terms, conditions and provisions which will continue to be valid to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  8. our right to vary these terms and conditions
We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time to reflect changes in social & market conditions affecting our business, changes in technology, changes in payment methods, changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in our system’s capabilities.
You will be subject to the changes to terms and conditions and it is the ticket holders responsibility to return to the site to check amends, the website shall remain updated at all times.
9. law and jurisdiction
Contracts for the purchase of Tickets through our site will be governed by English law. Any dispute arising from, or related to, such Contracts shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
The Agreement shall be construed in accordance with English Law and each party submits to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
